// CHANGELOG

What shipped,
and when.

Written for coaches and directors, not engineers. Most weeks something lands. Here's the record.

v1.16.0

Twelve sports, each with its own vocabulary

  • Baseball, volleyball, wrestling, swimming, track, tennis, softball, and strength training join the roster. Stat tracking, roster fields, and training labels use each sport's own terms now instead of borrowing basketball's.
  • Record a payment taken outside the app. Cash, Venmo, Zelle, check, CashApp, or ACH. A session paid in cash no longer shows as owed forever.
  • Today shows every session of the day, not just the next one.
  • Fixed: a loop in the trainer area that made every screen slow to a crawl. One line was responsible. The phone is responsive again.

v1.14.x

Session recaps from your trainer, and a much faster trainer portal

  • A trainer finishes a session, taps Mark Done, and gets a written note about what your kid worked on. They read it, edit anything that isn't how they'd say it, and send it. Nothing reaches a parent until a human presses send.
  • Progress notes pull a stretch of logged numbers into a short read on how a kid is trending. Vertical jump, pitch speed, 40 time, whatever that sport measures.
  • Trainer screens got dramatically faster: permission checks now happen in one step instead of unwinding a chain of seven tables.
  • The trainer portal opened to its first beta group.

v1.13.0

Your season ends. Your kids don't.

  • When a director wraps a season and archives the teams, parents and players used to land on the brand-new-signup screen as if they'd never used GameOS. Now the home screen says the season ended, names the team, and keeps a way forward.
  • Last season's stats and record are still yours. Open your kid and you get their stat line, the games they played, and the team's final record.
  • You can still message the coaches, directors, and parents you shared the season with after it's over.
  • A parent always sees their own child's stats, in active seasons too.

v1.12.0

Trials that tell you before they end

  • An email 7 days before a trial ends and a one-line push the day before. When a trial ends nothing is deleted: the org moves to Free with everything saved.
  • The plan screen quotes the price for how you actually subscribe. App Store pricing on iPhone, web pricing on the web.
  • Fixed: the upgrade prompt on gated features could get covered by other parts of the screen.
Jul 27, 2026
v1.10.0

Practice recap nudges and game replays

  • After a practice, parents get a gentle reminder to add a quick recap, so the team's story stays complete. It opens straight to the event.
  • Live broadcast replays show up in your team's Media tab, next to photos and clips.
  • Fixed: live broadcasts film the right way up. Recording in landscape no longer comes out sideways.
Jul 23, 2026
v1.9.0

GameOS is live on Google Play

  • Android's first public production release. GameOS now runs on iPhone, Android, and the web.
  • Switched to the Android system photo picker, so GameOS asks for access to the photos you pick instead of your whole library.
Jul 13, 2026
v1.8.0

Org Feed

  • Your organization has a home for announcements. Coaches and directors post updates, parents and players read, react, and vote in polls. The latest post shows on your home screen and the full feed is one tap away.
  • Clearer plan limits. When your staff or roster cap is reached, GameOS explains it in plain language instead of a generic retry.
  • Fixed: email verification is idempotent now, so a link scanner opening your verification link early can't block your sign-up.
Jun 30, 2026
v1.7.0

League standings, player profiles, richer game results

  • Standings, player profiles, and fuller game results are baked into the app itself, so new installs launch with everything and start faster.
  • Rate GameOS from inside the app when you hit a milestone.

Older releases live in the repo changelog. Want something on this list? Email hey@gameos.app and ask for it.
