Who builds this
A working AAU coach
Co-founder · Product
Not an advisor and not a former player on a slide. He coaches an AAU basketball program right now, and his team was the first one that ever ran on GameOS. Every feature in this app got argued about on a gym floor before it got built, and he's the one who does the arguing. If a screen doesn't work for a coach at 7am in a parking lot, it doesn't ship.
A software engineer
Co-founder · Engineering
Writes all of it. That's the honest answer to "how big is your engineering team," and it's also why GameOS ships a real update most weeks instead of a roadmap slide once a quarter. You don't have to take that on faith. The dated record is on the changelog.
Why we don't put our names on it
Fair thing to ask, so here's the straight answer: we'd rather the product and the company be the thing you evaluate than two personal brands. Neither of us is trying to build a following out of this. That's a real tradeoff, because "who is behind this" is a legitimate question when you're handing a platform your roster and your parents' payment details. So instead of asking you to trust two names you've never heard, below is what we'll put in writing.
Who you're actually dealing with
Anonymous founders, but not an anonymous company. All of this is independently checkable without taking our word for it:
- GameOS Youth Sports Systems LLC, a registered limited liability company in the State of New Jersey, United States.
- That same legal name is the listed seller on our App Store and Google Play listings. Both stores verify the identity behind a paid developer account before it can charge anyone.
- Payments run through Stripe, which independently verifies the business and its banking before it will process a dollar of your dues. We never hold your parents' card details.
- One contact address, monitored by a founder: hey@gameos.app.
What we'll commit to
Since you can't Google us, these are the promises to hold us to instead. If we break one, tell us and we'll make it right.
- A founder answers your email. Not a ticket queue and not a bot. Usually the same day.
- Your data leaves whenever you want. Export your roster and payment records at any time. No exit interview, no retention call.
- Nothing is deleted when you stop paying. Pause for the off-season or drop to Free and everything is exactly where you left it.
- The price you start on is the price you keep for as long as you stay on the plan.
- No ads, and we don't sell data. Not on the free tier, not ever. The only money GameOS makes is the subscription the org pays.
- We ship in public. Dated releases on the changelog, so you can see for yourself whether this thing is being maintained.
Why we built it
One of us was running a full AAU program out of a group text, a shared spreadsheet, a calendar invite nobody accepted, and a stream of Venmo requests he had to chase one parent at a time. Every tool did one job. None of them talked to each other. And the season kept moving whether the spreadsheet was current or not.
The apps that already existed didn't fix it. The good ones charge every family a subscription, so the cost of running an organized program lands on the parents. The ones built for clubs hide their pricing behind a sales call, which is its own answer about who they're for. And most of them put ads above the box score of a 12-year-old's game.
So we built the other thing. One app for the whole organization, one bill, paid by the org. Parents and players never pay. The price is on the pricing page, not behind a demo request. There are no ads. And when the season ends, you can pause the plan for up to four months and every roster, chat, and payment record is exactly where you left it when you come back.
Where we are right now
Early, and we'd rather say so than pretend otherwise.
GameOS is live on the App Store and Google Play and has been running real seasons for real clubs, but we're counting our customers in dozens, not thousands. If you're evaluating us against the established platforms, that's the honest tradeoff: they have the scale, and we have a founder who will answer your email the same day and probably build the thing you asked for.
That will not be true forever. It's true now, and it's the reason to join early. Where we actually are →
Talk to us
Email hey@gameos.app. A founder reads it. If you're moving a club over from another platform and want a hand with the roster import, say so and we'll do it with you.
