Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how GameOS ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the GameOS mobile and web applications (the "Service"). GameOS is a team management platform for youth sports teams, coaches, directors, players, and their parents or guardians.

By using GameOS, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. If you sign in with Apple, Google, or Facebook, we receive your name and email from that provider.

Team and roster content

When you use the Service to manage a team, we collect the information you provide about your team, including team name, schedule events, player names and jersey numbers, coach and parent contact details, payment records, chat messages, photos, and any other content you upload.

Identifiers

We assign a unique user ID to your account. We also collect a push notification token from your device so we can deliver notifications you have opted into.

Diagnostic and crash data

When the app crashes or encounters an error, we collect crash logs, performance metrics, and basic device information (device model, operating system version) to diagnose and fix problems. We use Sentry as our error tracking provider.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect device GPS location, contacts from your address book, browsing history, search history, audio data, or health and fitness data. We do not access photos on your device unless you explicitly choose one to upload.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the Service (sign-in, schedule sync, chat delivery, push notifications, payment processing)
• Manage your team, roster, and communications with parents and players
• Send transactional emails (invitations, payment receipts, schedule changes)
• Diagnose crashes and improve product reliability
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your information. We do not share your information with third-party ad networks or data brokers.

Service providers

We share information with the following service providers as necessary to operate the Service. Each provider is contractually bound to use the information only to deliver their service to us.

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
• Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions and team fee collection. Payment card data is collected and stored directly by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.
• Sentry — crash reporting and error monitoring
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Expo — push notification delivery
• Apple, Google, Facebook — sign-in providers, if you choose to use them

Children's privacy

GameOS is designed to be used by adults (coaches, directors, and parents) to manage youth sports teams. Information about minor players entered into the Service (such as a child's name or jersey number) is provided by an adult acting on behalf of the team and the child's parent or guardian.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If a child under 13 creates an account on the Service, a parent or guardian may contact us at the email address below to request deletion.

Data retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, payment records may be retained as required by tax law).

Team content (rosters, schedules, chat messages, photos) is retained for as long as the team exists. When a team is deleted, associated content is deleted within 30 days.

Your rights

You may:

• Access and update your account information at any time from within the app
• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Request that we correct inaccurate information
• Request that we delete your account and associated personal information
• Opt out of push notifications from your device settings
• Unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in each email

Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International users

GameOS is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
